I looked back at the previous discussions surrounding this Q8 cartridge before I posted this, and was surprised to find that one went through Ebay in the fall of 2017.
Well kiddies, if the sale price at that time wasn't astounding enough, you now have another chance to own one...

ELO self-titled Q8

Good for the photographs alone.

Absolutely absurd for such an 'unstable' format and ironically, that's the one album ELO released on physical disc in 4.1 surround [lossy codec, however]. https://www.amazon.com/Electric-Light-Orchestra/dp/B006ZEZ4HE

Too bad Jeff Lynne has little use for remixing all of the ELO albums in surround as evidenced by his recent [2015] Live at Hyde Park BD~V in LPCM STEREO, only. http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Jeff-Lynnes-ELO-Live-in-Hyde-Park-Blu-ray/135162/#Review

It's a funny Quad mix too. Very all over the place. Some songs go hard 4-corner discrete while others maintain focus with drums/bass front center. I'm not saying it's a bad Quad mix, but it's out-there for sure.

I'd love the Q8 to add to my pile, but I'm sticking to my rule of never paying more than $100 for a Q8.
Only broken that rule once or twice and not by much.
