No one has ever replied to this? OK, I'll go: the performances are more 'crowd pleasers' than the hardcore fanatics might like, but I give Columbia kudos for being willing to reach into their catalog and remix these for quad. They had the Ormandy 1812 quad master available already, but chose to use the Bernstein/NYP version, and also two cuts from his Nutcracker Suite from a couple of years prior. Clean mix, nothing too flashy, but a surround 'Nutcracker' is nice to have at the holiday season. I'm hanging on to my copy!
