Tonight, Monday, at 10pm (NYC time) on the LP Lounge we bring needle drops, on 3 great women of music. We've taken the original surround sound vinyl pressings (CD-4 they used to call it) - run them through a decoder (more properly, a demodulator) to extract the 4 discrete channels of sound - then (since we can't play discrete 4 channel sound) we have encoded all three to be compatible with most home theater systems (QS, RM, Dolby pro logic) - are playing them in surround sound for you - AND - you don't even need 4 ears (though it wouldn't hurt, and it would be easier to keep your glasses from sliding off)!
