Hmm. I think upgrades are necessary, but history should be respected as well. Spent many nights when I lived in Scotland recording John Peel sessions!

Between 1973 and 1975, I recorded countless hours, of the great John Peel's radio show on BBC Radio 1 ... his show didn't play mainstream and it introduced me to soooo many good bands....Bit like this site in many ways. Think I've still got those mono cassettes sumwhere, I shall have to try and find them..
And yes history should be respected...

ugh.. i was just watching Arctic Monkeys doing their thing there on telly the other night.. it'll probably be flogged off in some property development deal to non dom rich bitches who'll keep it empty forevermore. double ugh. "that's the way.. of the world.." etc.

That's what I think as well, and being cynical/realistic, was probably the reason it was sold!

It's a blooming daft decision. I see quite a lot of artists are saying it should be saved. I mean I doubt that many of them will want to slog it over to Stratford?! Apart from Chas & Dave perhaps...
