Two at the moment - the living/family room 5.1 where the TV also is so it's good for movies etc, and the 5.1 in my listening room where most of the surround music gets played.

1. 5.1 in the living room. This is where the OPPO is.
2. A 4.1 system that is part of my old computer in my "Man Cell" (wouldn't call it a "cave"). When I bought that computer I was still thinking music would be Quad, so I didn't get the 5.1 soundcard (D'oh). It plays through Power DVD. My "cell" also contains an old Sony one piece rack system which is stereo only.

I use a total of 6 different systems for multichannel in my home. The home was built from scratch with structured wiring in mind about 20 years ago.

1. Main Theater - 7.2 channels. Oppo 205 - Anthem processor - 4 McIntosh amps + McIntosh speakers - the reference system

2. Kids Theater - 7.2 channels. Oppo 103 - Emotiva processor - 3 Adcom amps - Triad inwall speakers + Velodyne sub

3. Family Room - 5.1 channels. Oppo 93 - Rotel processor - 5 Luxman amps - NHT speakers + Velodyne sub

4. Master bedroom - 5.1 channels. Oppo 83 - JVC processor - B&W speakers + Velodyne sub

5. Office - 6.2 channels. Oppo 93 - Denon processor - Niles inwall speakers + 2 in wall subs

6. Guest room - Oppo 970 DVD - Onkyo Integra processor - Niles inwall speakers + Triad inwall subs

There is a number of other 2 channel zones in the home also - a total of 24 amplifiers are used to drive everything.

I enjoy designing and building these systems as a hobby - I’m an electrical engineer.

I would love more time to listen than I get right now.

I got out my old Pioneer SX-2300 (packed away in 2000) along with my old
Polk Monitor 4 Speakers and some Philips Speakers that were part of a
Philips Microsystem.

The SX-2300 includes a Speaker matrix (DynaQuad) "decoder," so I plan to
set up a Surround Sound system based on these items for the Bedroom.

Aside:
I have the Sound and Vision test DVD which includes an audio test sequence
with noise that switches from LF,CF,RF,RB,CB,LB. The phantom image for CF
(and CB) seems precise, so I haven't purchased more speakers (My Surround
Sound systems will all likely be 4.0/4.1 rather that 5.1)
