Here's one that's going for big bucks:

I wonder how many of these final titles were actually produced. You don't see them show up too often on eBay, and when they do - BIG BUCKS!

34280 Herbie Hancock/Secrets
34299 Andy Williams/Andy
34302 Tower of Power/Ain't Nothin Stoppin Us Now
34312 Ray Conniff/TV Themes
34313 Mac Davis/Thunder in the Afternoon
34401 Johnny Taylor/Extraordinaire
34423 Santana/Festival
34432 Isley Brothers/Go For Your Guns
34450 Manhattans/Feels So Good
34457 Maynard Ferguson/Conquistador
34460 Miracles/Love Crazy
34462 Wild Cherry/Electrified Funk
34682 Return to Forever/Musicmagic

I've seen them all on ebay almost once but one... Santana Festival.
Did this really get out or not?

Festival did get out. I have one and I am attempting to upload a scan of the front and back. I haven't listened to it in many years and have no recollection of my impression of it.

Thanks. Now i know for sure it does exist.

Wow. Thanks for that scan Tom.

It would be cool if we could get a High Quality scan for all of these later Columbia Q8's. I could add them to a Columbia Q8 page.

The Mac Davis tape was just auctioned for almost $60. Guess the market is still "tanking"

you can add it to the "it's really real" list.

...and this Mac Davis Q8 doesn't even show on Mark Anderson's list:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4849574411&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

not as high a catalog number as "Thunder"; maybe his album just before.

Ressurecting a 10 year old thread because FredBlue and I were ruminating on the existence of some of the latter-era CBS Q8's and wondering if they all exist. Can anyone provide photos of any of the following that prove they're real? I'm pretty sure 'The Heat Is On' is vaporware, but I know 'Go For Your Guns' exists as I was outbid for it on eBay a few years ago. I'd love to see pictures of the rest - front, back and spine if possible!

1975

Ray Conniff 'Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song' Columbia CAQ-33564
Labelle 'Phoenix' Epic EAQ-33579

1977

Johnnie Taylor 'Rated X-traordinaire' Columbia CAQ-34401
Isley Brothers 'Go For Your Guns' T-Neck ZAQ-34432

They were all released on Q8 except The Heat Is On and Love Will Keep Us Together. At least I have never seen these two.

Here are photos of The Isley Brothers' "Go for Your Guns". I knew this album from front to back way before I obtained the Q8. The running order on the Q8 still messes me up when I listen to it.
