Believe it or not, Clint, I have an older Onkyo Receiver in my bedroom which doesn't even pass 3D and 4K* but it has served me well. Last night [actually early AM] I was blasting the 'Native' UHD 4K version of Across the Universe through my 5.1 B&W system and it really sounded incredible. Before that, I was blasting Pineapple Thief's BD~A of Dissolution with equally marvelous results. I could easily afford a Denon or Marantz Dolby Atmos Receiver with all the latest bells and whistles but until my trusty Onkyo takes its last gasping breath, I'm happy with my ONKYO. And this from me, a stickler for pricey separate components
[never was a receiver lover]!
Hopefully, a review of the Pioneer will be published soon and it would be prudent if the reviewer had an OPPO UHD 205 on hand for direct comparison but perhaps that's expecting too much......but it would be an ideal comparison.
