Really uncommon looking hi-fi

This is an odd 4-channel hi-fi for the Japanese market. At first look, I couldn't tell if it was a dishwasher for the kitchen, or a washing machine for the laundry room. Alas, the only spin cyle this puppy will do is CD-4!
It even has a light inside the cabinet so you can see what you're doing at the turntable. I think it may be the love child of a Maytag washing machine and a Technics receiver....

No, I'm not buying it, but found it amusing! I saw it while cruising buyee.jp in search of a Victor/JVC CD4-50 and CD4-1000.
