I was watching the Amazon Prime live streaming of the "Funny or Die" Rose Parade commentary by Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon yesterday - pretty funny and maybe still available.

But more relevant is that someone pointed it out on Twitter to Michael McKean and Harry Shearer, two founders of the Los Angeles-based 70s comedy group The Credibility Gap. Apparently they used to do a comedic live FM radio commentary on the Rose Parade.

And in a follow on tweet I learned that it had been broadcast at least once on KMET in Quad!
Here's an ad for it:

Yes fwiw, Sansui was a sponsor and they mention that the Rose Bowl Parade coverage was broadcast in QS for at least a couple of years.(and possibly more)
This is mentioned in Sansui's quad promo newsletter "The Four Channel Scene " sometime in 75 or 76 . This at a time when quad fm (SQ and QS) were very much active throughout the U.S.

Here's the article espousing KMET L.A.coverage in QS . Article fr Sansui Jan 76.
