This sounds a lot like "Because Sound Matters". Remember that? It was 2007 and was originally going to be an output for selling LP's and DVD-Audio discs. It pre-dated the original Rhino Quadio (Chicago-Aretha era) and disappeared just like that one did. If you have the time and inclination, read through the QQ Thread linked below. You can relive the start, excitement, thrill, then feel the bottom drop out of another little piece of the roller coaster ride that is surround music fandom. Fun stuff.
