Deep : Stick Men (CD + DVD-A)

(Mixed by BJ Cole & Neil Wilkes)

I couldn’t resist and I had to buy this as a digital download in stereo and 5.1 for 10 euros. I’m still listening to the album for the first time as I type. The music isn’t for everyday listening, even if I love KC, Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto. On the other hand, the surround mix is aggressive, immersive, discrete. Incredibly well done!
Highlights in 5.1 for me are: Crack in the sky, the second half of Sepia and Nude ascending staircase. I still have to listen to the last track.
EDIT: Whale Watch is another highlight, but the music is too hard for my taste :)
