Where to spend? Stereox2 or quad amp

Should I ...
Sell a sansui 3000a stereo amp
And use the dough to refurb a pioneer qx949?

Or
Sell the pioneer qx949 and buy a second sansui 3000a. I also have a Lafayette sqw as an outboard .

IMHO, I would get a second 3000a. I don't think any of the decoders in the Pioneer are anything special.
When subject of vintage amps comes up, I believe that Sansui has the better reputation.
The Lafayette sqw is a good one.

FYI, I do have more than one Pioneer pieces in my system.
