I just Googled and the Al Stewart albums were Alan Parsons produced. He should mix them in surround.

It appears that at one point he definitely wanted to...he actually completed 5.1 mixes of the songs "Year Of The Cat" and "Time Passages" that somehow made it out. Though like AP's other 5.1 mixes they are really more quad, as there is little-to-no center channel content.

They're pretty impressive IMO, but I guess not enough to sway the folks at Arista :(
