I should mention that I recently picked up the Grady Tate and Marlena Shaw SACDs from Japan's Eighty-Eights Jazz label.

The Grady Tate Stereo SACD is a mellow jazz album with Tate singing love songs. Nice.

Marlena Shaw Live in Tokyo is a Multichannel DSD recording of her concert in Tokyo this June. It features her vocal in the center front channel in Multichannel, the band across the front and crowd ambience in the surround channels. Very effective concert recording - and Shaw's dynamic vocals really come across in the center front channel.

I'd encourage jazz fans to visit the Eighty Eights web site at www.village-records.com/8...index.html
and listen to the sound clips from their SACDs. Some interesting choices there to be sure.

Speaking of the excellent Jazz SACDs from the Eighty Eight's label in Japan, they are now available in the U.S. via the Acoustic Sounds and Elusive Disc web sites.
