Speaking of top Multichannel SACDs to check, one of the best is Chesky's "Swing Live" by Jazz guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli (Chesky SACD 223).

The album was recorded live at a jazz club with the Ambisonics microphone system. It's a discrete, 4 channel recording that does an uncanny job of clearly and cleanly reproducing the music while giving you a sense of being "in the jazz club".

Highly recommended on SACD !

Still available for very reasonable prices, Bucky Pizzarelli's "Swing Live" Surround Sound SACD is one to add to any surround fan's library.
An amazing sense of "you are there" in the Jazz club with this immersive surround sound recording.

New copies on Amazon start at $13.94 with used copies starting at $7.99.

Sit in your favorite seat, set volume to a decently loud level, close your eyes, hit play.

You are transformed instantly to a realistic, laid back jazz club, repleat with real instruments and audience. Fair warning the audience sometimes claps in the middle of songs, which adds to the 3D immersive quality of the recording. Some of the best recorded clarinet I've heard.

I agree with bmoura - get this!

This was the only [AFAIK] Chesky Title available in MLP DVD~A [not counting the DVD~A/V Stereo 96/24 Chesky titles] and it sounds superb via my Meridian 800. https://www.bing.com/images/search?...arelli+swing+live+dvd~audio+photos&ajaxhist=0

Certainly a lot of cheering from the crowd on this Surround Sound SACD! :)

Inside story. Lots of friends and audio guys were invited. Had a few drinks and sat around for the music. After 1-2 songs, David Chesky came out from the control room and asked us to make more noise. We did.

I'll have to give this another shot, but I've never been impressed with particular DVD-A sound-wise.
