So much great material coming from across the pond thanks to SW.
How many times must we thank him?

(I guess I really do not need an answer to that!)

Thanks Mr. Wilson :smokin

....
The Blu-Ray features full dvd-a content + many additional audio features in full lossless 24/96.
....

Does anyone know if the additional audio features are stereo only, or do we get some additional surround tracks??

Looks like LTIA is the only KC remix we might be getting this year...

Are Beat and Three of a Perfect Pair stereo remixes in the pipeline? To me, the Discipline stereo remix is a tremendous improvement over the 1981 mix in almost every way.

thanks in advance,
Abhi

Yes to both, though no dates for release are scheduled yet.
Sid

Amazon.com is now offering three versions of LTIA, with the super deluxe box that includes blu-ray is going for $196.49. I think I'll stick with my Burning Shed order, about $137 with shipping.

Amazon.co.uk had the boxset up this morning for 84.99 GBP (which translates to about $115 with VAT taken out and shipping added) but now the price is up to over 200 GBP! Glad I pre-ordered a second copy for my friend!

Steven and Fripp have recently been working on the new stereo mix of Beat according to this diary entry.

http://www.dgmlive.com/diaries.htm?entry=22264 Another entry for Beat.

Also, there really should be a page in the new Larks' box set for the various names Fripp has given the box set...

July 30 Larks’ Tongues In Aspic – The Awful Truth: Unvarnished And Newly Varnished In Stereo & Surround, Glued & Unglued Box Set; The Rapidly-Growing LTIA Box Of Wonder, Terror And Bliss Arising.
Aug 16 LTIA Box Set Of Arising Wonder And Joy (for some) With Seeming Endlessness Of Contents :ugham:

What an awesomely assembled collection! I have had that 3 track vinyl sampler for years. Kitchen Sink Edition and I approve.

So , once and for all,
apparently, you only get the 96/24 Surround version
IF
you purchase the box set
and no the stand alone DVD-A????

Could anyone confirm this?

I cannot confirm, but looking at the other dvd-a's in this series, they all had 96/24 5.1 mixes, except for the first 2 or 3. My guess is that this dvd-a will also have 96/24 surround.

Two quotes from Neil
(From the Emerson Lake & Palmer Thread)

1. "FINAL final time.
NO.
As I have stated previously, the new mixes will be in 24/96 for both 5.1 & 2.0 on the DVD because of space constraints.
The BD will have everything at 24/96."

2. "Oh, Sheesh.
NO - he's NOT right!!!
The new mixes are in 24/96......it's the 30th anniversary & the alt mixes/takes streams in 24/48.......
(and this is definitely the last word on this subject from me)"

As you pointed out, those quotes are from the ELP thread. I don't see the connection to the LTIA release that is being discussed here.

But he was talking about the LTIA release...

From Neil

"Oh Crap - brain damage again.
Sorry, I thought for some reason we were discussing LTIA indeed...please accept my apologies for the snippy answer & bad attitude.
It must be an age thing......"
