Son of My Jazz/Fusion recommendations, requested by FredBlue:

Bitches Brew - Miles Davis (available as 2 LP SQ Quad LP set, US & Japan 2ch SACD. Arguably, the album that started Jazz/Fusion)

Icarus - Paul Winter/Winter Consort (roots of New Age, but IMHO meatier than any new age album. Winter & group that became Oregon. IMHO, one of the greatest albums in ANY genre) Produced by George Martin.

Just picked up "Rise" in its dbx manifestation. I'd have to vote for "Look Around" as the best Sergio & Brazil '66 album.
Mandingo LP....at least it is not the soundtrack for the 1975 movie that it pre-dates, considered quite scandalous when that came out at the theaters! John
