I already have the John Lennon Plastic Ono LP in the SQ format just want to see if there is any difference between SQ & QS

But it was not
I have tried to put things on the site but
I don't seem to have the knack

Kinda makes you wonder, doesn't it.

Almost the same mishap as the "NED LAGIN-SEASTONES " disc. SQ on the back of the 70's lp, but no wait the 90's CD states QS .
FWIW it's easy for the uniformed to state QS or SQ on a recording, but you know with some certainty when they say SANSUI or CBS QUAD.

My nephew got me a new release LP ''Earth Wind Fire'' ( That`s The Way of The World ) its one off these new 180 gram. LP`s but look at the photos one is my old SQ version and the other is the new LP, the thing is my nephew thought it was a new Quad release LP so he got it for me.

What do you think ???? confusion..

i posted @QQ at Xmas about the EWF TTWOTW LP reissue in Quad sleeve facsimile as i got duped into buying one (the records Stereo inside for sure) wah wah wah! : yikes

I've compared SQ and QS versions of some of Project 3's quad LP's, both using the same mix, and the difference is big. The QS has better defined separation, especially when you're using a basic decoder. I've made the same comparison with Pink Floyd's DSOTM, same results. The QS versions also sound better when played in stereo. The SQ versions collapse the rear channels into the center when played in stereo. The QS versions, on the other hand, widen the field by displaying the rear channel sounds out beyond the speakers. Listening with headphones really shows this.

I was lucky enough to come across the old collection from a former member of the audio industry. 45/48 (3 back ordered according to the invoice) SEALED Columbia quadraphonic records ordered and delivered free of charge in 1972. Lucky me!!

Some great titles there. I have many of them, but that's quite a haul, especially if they're sealed and unplayed.
