I won a copy of Hugo Montenegro's "Neil's Diamonds" Quadradisc for $5.00 on eBay. It arrived yesterday. Visually, the disc doesn't look that great, but it sounds better than any CD-4 album I've ever played! Go figure. Anyway, my declicked DTS conversion is what I'm listening to right now (if by "right now," one can mean 12 hours ago).

I'm guessing by increasing the Center Channel Level...YMMV....

Yep, and decreasing the others as well, to avoid clipping.
I think (from memory) it was -3dB on L,R,Ls,Rs and either +9 or +12 on the centre.
There are some great vocals & bass parts hiding in there - what muppet mastered it in this way?

Thanks!

Wow - +9 - 12 db!!!! Thats a lot....

I might have to do my first "re-master".

My first Porcupine Tree - Lightbulb Sun - wow! Bought it today and on my third play. I love every song, especially the song "Four chords that made a million." Sounds like a combination of The Beatles and Pink Floyd.

Get them all while you can......

Don't just follow that number - I have since deleted the Nuendo project, and my memory might be faulty.
Watch carefully when boosting the centre channel - too much boost & you will trigger limiting on the master buss, and that is to be avoided, which is why I also cut the other channels.
Doing this adds a lot more of the bass to the mix, which is - let's be frank - toppy. Now I know why.

Thanks to Steely Dave for the tip though.....it was through his prodding that I did this.

Bumping up the center channel really adds the bass in the mix... Thanks!!!
