I like KLH spekers. Most everything Henry Kloss was associated with has something good about it. This certainly isn't a tube amp however, as the seller implies. I wish he had better pictures to see if it has any decoder in it.

We're not this receiver's seller but we actually still have ours purchased secondhand in 1974 for $200.00. Nice entry level unit. We also have a second one (purchased last year for thirty-some dollars) that provides our garage with a nice surround field (and to be used as a donor if ever needed). Back in the day we used the SQ function to listen to quad FM broadcasts but used the discrete function much more often as it was coupled to a SuperScope TD-48 eight track quad tape player ($79.00 in 1974). Frankly, we're quite surprised at what this receiver recently went for and for that matter what TD-48's are now going for.

Curiosity got the better of us after reading these posts as we thought we remembered this receiver's SQ circuit as being a Hafler derivative. So we extracted the SQ board and pulled out the service manual for the SQ schematic to provide pictures that we thought we would share below. If you need any further information (spec's, board or component location, etc.) just ask.

Cheers:banana:
