What are the 10 Quad albums you'd like reissued on a modern format? Please DO NOT include titles that have been reissued like Ship Ahoy, or a repressing of a 5.1 title. These should only be titles that haven't been reissued in surround since the '70's. Titles that were originally "fake Quad" or poor mixes qualify, although a new mix would be most welcome.

1- Sundown - Gordon Lightfoot
2- Nilsson Schmilsson
3- Sly & the Family Stone's Greatest Hits
4- Pearl - Janis Joplin
5- Blood, Sweat & Tears Greatest Hits
6- Azteca
7- Best of Bread
8- Chicago VII
9- Best of the Guess Who
10-Can't Buy a Thrill - Steely Dan

1) Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother
2) Guess Who - Best 1&2
3) Chicago - any
4) Jim Croce - Photograph and memories
5) Motown artists - any (15 to choose from!)
6) Joan Baez - Blessed are...
7) Eagles - any
8) Steely Dan - any
9) Simon & Garfunkel - Bridge
10) Santana - Any

1. Best of the Guess Who
2. They Only Come Out at Night - Edgar Winter Group
3. Best of Bread
4. Jackson Browne - Late For the Sky
5. Paul Simon self titled
6. Paul Simon - Still Crazy
7. Carly Simon - Playing Possum
8. Jethro Tull - Warchild

Lizard King; there is no Paranoid album by Deep Purple. Paranoid is a Black Sabbath title and the original quad mix is available on DVD.

Gordon Lightfoot - Sundown
Loggins & Messina - Self titled album or Full Sail (done in quad?)
Doobie Brothers - Toulouse Street
Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire
Chicago - VII
Santana - Greatest Hits
Blood Sweat & Tears - Greatest Hits
Eagles - One of These Nights
Steely Dan - Can't Buy a Thrill
Paul Simon - There Goes Rhymin' Simon

Yes, Full Sail was an SQ/Q8. I own both. It's a superb album in sonics, music and mix. Toulouse Street and Birds of Fire would also be high on my list.

Gordon Lightfoot - Sundown
Loggins & Messina - Self titled album or Full Sail (done in quad?)
Doobie Brothers - Toulouse Street
Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire...

Average White Band
Doobie Brothers - Stampede, What were once vices are now habits
Isley Brothers - Live it up, Harvest for the World, The Heat is On, Go for your Guns
Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic
Eagles - One of these Nights

O Jays - Survival
George Benson - Body Talk
Donny Hathaway - Extensions of a man,
Jethro Tull - War Child,
Best of Bread,
Joni Mitchell - Court & Spark

America - Hearts, Holiday
Roberta Flack - Killing me softly
any of the Motown albums, including CD4's from Japan (Diana, Marvin, The Temptations, Jacksons, etc..)
and all those unreleased Motown goodies
like Whats Going On,
Music of my mind, Talking Book, Innervisions, the list goes on (and on... SIGH...!!)

of course Marvin's WGO WAS issued on CD-4, silly me!
still, there was no excuse not to have it re-issued on Universals' last Deluxe Super Duper Overpriced Box Set 43rd rehash of the album recently...!!!

Oops.. That's a bit more than just 10.. sorry!

but I guess it shows the embarrassment of quad riches that are languishing in the vaults.

That's before even thinking about the likes Sinatra, Elvis, huge huge legendary names.. And Paul Simon, Simon & Garfunkel, Santana, all those other Columbia big names...

It's a crime none of these are available in any modern format.

360 Degrees of Billy Paul,
If they redo "Me and Mrs. Jones" with the original vocal take used for the mono/stereo release, YES.
Possibly the biggest quad disappointment i've ever had. Fantastic mix and wrong take.

1. Randy Newman - Good Old Boys
2. Johnny Winter - Saints and Sinners
3. Bette Midler - Divine Miss M
4. Alice Cooper - Muscle of Love
5. Bob Dylan - Planet Waves

My Top 5 that would all require remixes would be:

Sly & The Family Stone - Greatest Hits
The Best of the Guess Who
Janis Joplin - Pearl
The Grass Roots - 16 Greatest Hits
Elvis - From Elvis in Memphis

Honourable mention: Johnny Russell - Rednecks, White Socks & Blue Ribbon Beer (haha, total long shot!)

5 more that could be released AS IS:

Eagles - On the Border
Eagles - One of these Nights
Paul Simon - There Goes Rhymin' Simon
Elvis - Today
Three Dog Night - Comin' Down Your Way
