My copy turned up this morning, fast delivery to the UK, ordered directly from Mike Keneally's website. I haven't managed to listen to it yet, just read the blurb in the booklet.

Incidentally, if anyone dives into this 5.1 mix without reading the booklet first, you should know that the multis are missing for "Looking For Nina", so that one songs has a faux surround mix made from a stereo mix.

Thanks for that - I was about to comment on that track in particular... when listening to the stereo on headphones I thought they could have real fun with that one.. and was disappointed when I heard it...

The rest is great...

Have just made one pass so far and even Looking For Nina is great. It sounded largely 2.0 and then something happens in the second half of the song, with the vocals moving around in the rears only. Perhaps the vocal tracks were the only thing that survived separately and this was married to a stereo band track?

How nice it is to hear this material in 5.1, hope we see more of Mike's stuff in this format.

For anyone in Europe (or maybe just the UK) who was considering buying this but didn't want to pay the high postage, it's now being carried at Burning Shed:

Wow! Thank you for passing on this info :) I wish I'd known I could have saved myself about a tenner and about a week waiting if I'd got it from the UK instead! Great disc for anyone who doesn't have it already, imho (y)

I think I'm going to pick up this disc very soon.
I enjoyed hearing a little teaser of this disc a few months back, but the price (and just being busy) held me off from getting it, but I think now might be the right time to pull the trigger (even with "Quadrophenia", "A Passion Play", and "The Division Bell" all coming very soon)

:)
