The original 'Big Top' -- the very last track on the album -- used a speed effect such that every round of the repeated two-bar phrase is notably faster and higher pitched than the one before it, all the way into the fadeout. It creates a woozy, very psychedelic effect. On your stereo and surround remixes, it's all at a steady pitch and tempo. Your choice, Fripp's, or something else?

Tape varispeed mix effects like this are virtually impossible to replicate (even working off the tape you could never match what was a one-off random "performance") - so instead we elected to present it as the musicians actually performed it - the original mix is, as always, still there to be enjoyed too. A similar issue presented itself with the end of one of the tracks on the first ELP album, which slows down in a non-linear it-will-be-different-every-time way - again, rather than fake it, and with the caveat that the original mix was going to be part of the package anyway, I decided not to even try to recreate the effect.
