The Film Music of Jerry Goldsmith was one of the very first Multichannel SACDs released by Telarc. The album is actually a remastered version of a Philips Multichannel SACD Demo that was only available for buyers of the company's SACD-1000 Multichannel SACD player, the first on the market for consumers. It features many of the composers movie themes and classic film music in full Surround Sound. Definitely worth getting.

Several web outlets are selling this Hybrid Multichannel SACD, factory sealed for under $10. Check Amazon and eBay for listings. In one case, the price is $2.35 plus shipping. A set of amazing deals !

I quite enjoy this disc. I play it often and it's quite a journey. One of my first SACDs and first reviews for DVD Etc. Magazine...wow, has it been 11 years...? http://felixemartinez.com/2003-06_reviews_bg.gif

Yes, it was one of the first Multichannel SACDs to be released. I heard it on DSD tape at an AES Convention in SF before it was released on SACD disc by Philips and later Telarc.
They were waiting for the Sonoma DSD Workstation to be completed so they could edit and complete the album! Great memories.
