Really not sure why this 5.1 mix has such an average reputation. If this had a poll, I'd give it an 8. The sound quality is superb, the album is very enjoyable with long, proggy songs that never drag or bore. The mix is subtle, but tastefully and deliberately discrete. It opens up the music and has more activity in the rears than you'd expect from its reputation. Always something going on. I like it!

I agree with The Bright side ( but I wold have voted a strong 9 ), excellent sounding surround release, great bass and fidelty.

Love the songs, been on heavy rotation since I got it.

This version is the one to get:

As I basically "ignored" Marillion back in the day, and just gained interest with the recent SW remixes, I totally missed this one, ordered now. Geez, I ought to be checking out all the other stuff at their shop huh?

Same here, I never listened to them "back in the day". But I do now, getting all their albums, one by one, excellent music - and some of it in surround (y)

Thanks for the sale link - I'll need to look through what I have and maybe grab another set or two.

I had the A Sunday Night Above... set and sold it. If my memory is correct, the 5.1 mixes of the live material and the album was mostly ambiance.
