I recall seeing a listing with picture in the September 2002 Sony sacd catalog a listing for this in multi channell. What happened? Was it shelved or just never intended for actual release?

afaik, it got cancelled due to the Hybrid 3-way royalties shenanigans (same fate as Al Kooper's Super Session 5.1 SACD) and is all mixed in 5.1 and ready to go.. either of these titles may well be on their way via Audio Fidelity's upcoming foray into 5.1 SACD. Fingers crossed
