The next two SACD Surround Sound discs from Audio Fidelity are coming in late January 2015: Best of The Guess Who and Blood, Sweat & Tears (self-titled). Both albums have been developed for 4.0 "Quad" Multichannel SACD release using the original Analog Master Tapes for both the Stereo and 4.0 Multichannel tracks.

The Stereo SACD and CD tracks have been remastered by Steve Hoffman at Stephen Marsh Mastering. The 4.0 Multichannel SACD tracks have been remastered by Gus Skinas at the Super Audio Center. I've heard the "Test Molds" of both SACDs and they are quite a sonic upgrade from the original Multichannel albums in the 1970's! Best of the Guess Who, in particular, is an amazing upgrade from the Quad editions some of you remember - and perhaps even own - from the 1970's. Definitely worth a purchase!

Now available for pre-orders at Acoustic Sounds, Elusive Disc, Import CDs, Music Direct and Amazon.Com, among others. (The missing title and spelling error on the preliminary Blood, Sweat & Tears SACD label has been fixed for the final release).

Excellent...Great news! Any word or rumours for the next set?

Do you mean after Blood, Sweat & Tears plus The Best of the Guess Who (Jan 2015) and Winelight plus The Best of Bread (Feb 2015) in 4.0 Quad Multichannel SACD?

I got mixed up....I thought Bread was coming earlier....I was just digging around to see what else might come in 2015 AF...I'll be patient...

No problem. Just wanted to be sure you had all 4 (BS&T, Best of Guess Who, Winelight and Best of Bread) under consideration!

The good news is that Audio Fidelity is exploring more Multichannel SACDs in 2015. As always, it involves licensing, can the tapes be found, if found are the tapes in good shape, etc etc.....
Stay tuned.

I posted the polls for these two titles, as they should hit the stores on Tuesday (some AF Subscribers already have them), but please, keep the random pre-ownership talk here in this thread, including the "mine shipped" and all that stuff, and leave the poll threads for comments made after actually hearing the discs!

THANKS

amazon are now showing a release date of February 10 for BS&T and a release date of February 24 for the Guess Who disc.
So looks like they will not be arriving (at least for me) this week.

Bummer. Release dates are such a pain in the butt! :)

That sounds about right. The BS&T SACD is running ahead of the Best of Guess Who in the production process from what I've heard.
BS&T in Multichannel SACD - that's a nice way to enjoy some Multichannel SACD while we wait for the others! :)

Really, really looking forward to both of these titles! :)

Both titles IMHO are "Holy Grail Quadraphonic mixes" both for the mixes, but for the timeless music that is there.

We seem to get stung in the UK on price. The Blood, Sweat & Tears hasn't appeared as a pre-order on amazon in the UK yet, The Guess Who says 24th Feb. and £31.07 or around $46.60! I've bought the others via resellers once they've been released and they appear then at about the USA $ price. Its $27.99 on amazon.com so about £18.70, quite a difference.

How about here, could this work for folks for Shipping/Price? http://www.importcds.com/FAQ#shipping

It gets tricky trying to order SACDs from sites overseas. I once tried to order an SACD from a 3rd party seller via Amazon.Co.UK and they gave me a refund instead of the SACD, saying they don't ship to the U.S.
Odd since I've purchased many SACDs over the years from Amazon.Co.UK. Apparently the third party sellers on the site have different rules to follow. :)

They have fixed that on amazon uk...in the ordering process they stop you if they don't deliver to the US..you can't complete the transaction...I order things from Japan and the UK and haven't had any problems...other than it taking longer than a domestic delivery....Burning Shed was quicker than AmazonUK or the UK Pink Floyd Store...Japan is even faster than amazon UK now...

I'm going to wait until the disc is released before ordering. ImportsCD is an Amazon marketplace seller in Canada and the US. They often pick up these new discs and sell at a very good, better than Amazon, price.

The Blood, Sweat & Tears Multichannel SACD has been released. We're still waiting on Best of the Guess Who.

I meant to say "released on Amazon." And it probably doesn't help US buyers because the direct price from ImportsCD is very good. But for Canadians you can often get the US price from the ImportCD Amazon.ca marketplace seller and the shipping cost is low as well.
