I just bought a Sansui QS-D1000 from here and not the one posted above. If I hadn't bought it, I could afford(maybe) the CD4-50 that is on right now. I post them in the hopes that a quaddie will find a way to land them. I posted the Buyee.jp link so you can see it in english and bid as a foreigner. I buy from here often, so if there are any navigation questions, let me know. We just missed a Technics SH-3434 scope for about $180.

510 yen for that D1000???? that's nothing. How much did you pay for yours....if I can ask??

Before shipping, I paid $479.99 Canadian for the D1000. I expect to pay about another $120 in shipping. I got greedy with five minutes to go.:yikes

my computer wont translate - i cant even tell if the auctions are active. im so lame.

w.a.r.

As a follow-up to the original post by Circular Vibes, it appears that the QS-D1000 was purchased by someone in the United States, and it is now up for auction/getting flipped on Ebay
(Judging by the pictures, as they're some of the same pictures. Or, it may be a fraudulent auction.):

The Buyee auction sold for ¥38,001 ($307) without shipping costs included, back in early March. The Ebay auction at the time I'm writing this is at $405.

Figured I'd let you all know.

Nice. I owned a JVC CD4-50 back in the days of Quad. That demodulator plus really well done CD-4 discs like the ones on Project 3 was just magic!

It may just be a case of picture theft. That may explain the lack of the serial number pic. The eBay seller may not be able to take pics and just stole the best ones they coud find easily. That said, there have been a feew more in Japan sold since this one I posted. But not another CD4-50. I have my QS-D1000 and don't need two, so haven't bid again. I haven't even dared to hook it up yet as I have a QSD-1 in the system now and the thought of moving my gear to install it gives me nightmares.:yikes

Heh, heh. Ah yes, the though of digging into your wiring and cable runs. The only "perk" to that is the chance to clean out any dust bunnies that have accumulated since the last time you had to get into there!

Last time I looked for dust bunnies and other missing accessories, I found this guy.
