Van Halen, so rules. I love them. So disappointed they never had any 5.1......or a better representation of their older catalogue as it's obviously ground breaking music. Sigh....

"Tripping The Light Fantastic" -Bill Nelson....
I know there are a few Bill Nelson fans around here and this cd is SUPER!!!!
It's instrumental and he improvises over his prerecorded stuff!!!!

Get it while it's hot

I tried after your earlier post, and the CD had sold out, only the 2.0 FLAC was available - but I still bought it, only had a quick listen to bits of a few tracks, sounds brilliant!

Sorry 'bout that DuncanS, ...but don't let it be said that I did NOT warn you it was gonna sell out!!!!

ENJOY!!!!

I was out Saturday and stopped at my local record store. I bought 3 new discs & 1 used. The 3 new discs were The Dream Syndicate - How Did I Find Myself Here? , The Waterboys - Out Of All this Blue, and Richard Thompson - Acoustic Classics II. The used disc was The Windbreakers - Electric Landlady. I had The Windbreakers disc on vinyl, but the cd had 6 extra tracks and was 3.99 so why not. If you ever were or still are a fan of The Dream Syndicate check out the video for Filter Me Through You . Scott

I have been laying low in QQ but have not stopped purchasing.
I saw Kenny Wayne Shepherd last Sat night and had a blast. I have a ton of new discs and highly recommend for pure good music, Savoy Brown Witchy Feelin, Jonny Lang Signs, Steve Miller's Ultimate Hits, The Door's 3 disc set, Mr Big Defying Gravity, I promise pure satisfaction with these RBCD's. These are 4 out of about a hundred. The new Alice Cooper Paranormal is actually quite good also. I have been more happy with these then the recent Hi Res music I have bought.

Just received a used copy of Herb Alpert's Shine (the old AM Plus series CD). By comparison, I like the sound of the CD better than the 24bit download or a vinyl rip I have.

Great music and pristine audio; what a combo :)

A few that landed in the mailbox over the last couple days:

I was out this weekend and bought the new Foo Fighters - Concrete and Gold, The Lone Bellow - Walk Into A Storm, and Bruce Cockburn - Bone On Bone. I have listened to and enjoy all 3. I was looking for the Doors set but only found the 2 cd without the bluray. I don't understand why for a couple extra dollars why you wouldn't carry the 3 disc. Now waiting on Amazon. Have bought 6 NEW releases so far in September and a couple of reissues. So far it has been an expensive month with more things coming. Scott

Waiting on The Doors BR, in meantime got Spirit sacd of Family That Plays Together (or whatever its called) and the Beach Boys Love- 1967 2 disc set.
Snood- I recommend a Prune Juice Cocktail made with Belvenie Triple Wood- 12 year old scotch. It'll make you regular.

How is the new sparks album?

Very enjoyable. I'd lost track of them for a long time. Most of it is very "Sparks" - quirky, sometimes too clever for it's own good, but a fun record. More of a band sound this time around too, and I may have to start looking some of the stuff I missed over the years.

some new arrivals, a super cool original mono covers LP by the Standells :smokin

Some recent purchases that I really wouldn't recommend. Def Leppard's Hysteria box set. The 13 SHM CD cardboard mini LP's from U2.
Sonically in the end not worth it, no better, no worse than the original RBCD's. But a lot of great packaging if you are a fan.
