Hey Umair - any chance this will be released in surround? That would be amazing.
Welcome!

The easiest way I know to burn 5.1 FLAC to a disc is to do just that - write a data disc.
I just tested this with my Oppo BDP-105 with a 4.1 FLAC of "Amused To Death" (decoded into quad from Q-Sound encoded CD by the greatly missed Cai Campbell) and it loads as a data disc and is accessible by navigating on the Oppo main screen to the MUSIC option & accessing the data disc in the same way that you would access an externally connected USB HDD.
Works a treat.
Odds are you could do the same with a BD-ROM disc (I will test this too) but in all honesty, why bother?

Hello Bruce

Could you kindly tell us if the new tweet below is about a 5.1 mix on the TPT album?

"nearly 3 years after I told my label 'it will definitely be ready next week' I've finally finished remixing the first @pineapplethief album!"

Answering my first question

Someone Here Is Missing, http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/list?artist=Pineapple+thief&album=Someone
All The Wars, http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/list?artist=Pineapple+thief&album=All+the+wars

Better DR values then the initial release. You have to look at the album proper, as the new editions include some, acoustic, bonus tracks. Still a nice improvement in DR and enough for me to buy these tow plus the One Three Seven and What We Have Sown remasters.
I'd prefer not to buy these again as a CD, as I'm quite happy with the packaging I already have, so I'm hoping they will be released as lossless downloads, too (and soon!).

I received the set from BS. Ripped the cds and listened to a few tracks. Sounds really nice. Not super dynamic, still cleaner with more detail.

Now even more looking forward to So We Row in surround.

Just read this for the first time and really enjoyed it, especially this bit:

"My first mix was quite tame, I was very timid with my use of the surround field because I wanted to keep things sounding natural. But I soon realised the whole point of surround mixes is to take the listener to whole new planet. The stereo mixing paradigm goes out of the window. Once you accept that, the world is your oyster."

I so wish more in the music industry understood surround.
