I know that it’s hard to believe but even European post is taking ages now, I’ve had big order going to Sachsen in two parcels, both shipped the same day, one arrived after 5 days, second one 3 weeks later. Using courier’s like FedEx, UPS, DHL or the others is very expensive. Please, hold bit longer and I’m sure that it will arrive

The sound is great. I do have a couple of quad reels to compare and you did an excellent transfer job.
There are a lot more Mancini and Montenegro quad reels, I have several of them, that I hope you will get to

Two Mancini albums: Brass On Ivory, and Brass, Ivory And Strings are on Spotify (at least in the UK) in stereo form. I prefer the former considerably to the latter. The first one was nice enough to be intrigued though.

So far, the Montenegro title has seen the most positive comments and it's easy to see why. The gentleman loved Quad and he made sure that his mixes were as rich and exotic as his arrangements. That being said, that Mancini disc along with Floyd Cramer's Class of '73, '74 & '75 disc are the two that I play most out of the 4 Vocalion titles I've purchased. The mixes are spot on for this material and the sound quality is pretty amazing.

I need some help with which of the Cramer 2fers to pick up (I don't want to pick up both in one fell swoop). I would be more interested in old school country/instrumental rather than easy listening, if that helps.

I'd suggest Super Country Hits/The Young and the Restless. That's the one I picked up in Multichannel SACD. Recommended.

I have all six Vocalion SACDs and would 'eventually' go for the two Chet Atkins' produced Cramer SACDs since they both have their pleasures. They're both country 'tinged' very discrete and for roughly $10 per mch SACD album... a SUPER bargain, at that!

Actually, Clint, I have ALL six and over time I find myself playing them over and over as they're ALL superbly mastered. Really hope Dutton~Vocalion releases 6 more (and I believe they will).

A bit of a surprise on the Dutton Vocalion. A double quadraphonic album release on SACD of Ray Conniff - Laughter in the Rain and Love Will Keep Us Together.
