My hope is that Roger will review the Meddle mix, ask for changes (which will get made) and it will be part of a later release. Same for OBC. Review it, ask for changes, they get made, and then it's released at a later time.

I was far more upset when it appeared that Pink Floyd and James Guthrie were locked in an unwinnable contract war that would keep these in the vault forever. Now that this rumor (which I brazenly propagated, shame on me) has turned out to be false, I have some hope.

Feel free to unleash a bucket of cold water on this concept.:couch

Haven't scanned the entire thread, but to try to clarify: there will be separate releases of these in 2017, does that include the AHM quad and Meddle Quad?

At an unbelievable price of over $800 locally, I can't ever justify this but would like to know that all the individual bits would be available separately for me to choose and grab over time. That's almost enough to buy an Epiphone Casino!

So they are pressing up more without Meddle 5.1 on them?

Yeah kinda like, please send me a replacement disc that omits what we all wanted plllllllllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eease @:

Relax, Snood.
They are not touching the 1971 Blu-Ray yet… (that's the one that has the hidden "Meddle" 5.1 mix)
They are offering replacements for the 1972 Blu-Ray (the one that has 'Live at Pompeii' on it) and the first bonus Blu-Ray since those are the ones that are reported to have had playing issues from some people in certain players.

So.......mine finally arrived today from Amazon UK. Isn't there supposed to be an additional RBCD floating around the box in its own sleeve with the 2016 2.0 remix of Obscured By Clouds? (Even though the liner notes on the 1972 Obfusc/ation box say the Obscured CD is in it, the CD in that box is actually of the music from Pompeii.) Did anyone else order from Amazon UK? Did you get the extra disc?

dont have the box myself, but from reports I read, the OBC disc should be included as extra disc.

I just received my boxed set today from Amazon.uk. It did have the extra disc laying on top of the plastic covering the main box. The disc was sealed so that it could not escape--a nice touch. The box is about the size of a fairly large bookshelf speaker.

Amazon UK won't give me a replacement set because of the missing Obscured By Clouds RBCD. They said they could only offer me a refund if I returned the entire set. They said they had no more in stock then suggested I purchase the set from a 3rd party seller (at a significantly higher price.) Annoying.

:howl

Yeah try Warner!
But what's wrong with your discs? Can't play them or what?

(You found the Meddle bonus album?)

Yeah, I'll give that a try. Just wasn't sure if they were only replacing faulty blu-rays. I haven't gotten to those blu-rays yet (first order of business was watching them jam with Zappa and listening to the "Echoes" quad!) I'll send 'em an e-mail and see how generous they're feeling.

Gotta say I'm really enjoying the 5.1 mix on the Pompeii tracks. Nothing flashy, but it fits the music well. The keyboards are in the rear right while guitar is in the rear left. I haven't gotten all the way through it, but so far I like what I've heard.

Funny you should mention that...just started listening to the lossless version myself right now. I LOVE what I'm hearing! Played the DTS a week or so back in the not-that-great room and the main thing that stood out for me was the sound of the drums on "A Saucerful of Secrets".

Next time this thread has a purge could the offending posts just be replaced with "Careful with those facts, Eugene"?
