Beside all polls and discreetness...the music is all about.
So what are your 5 most played surround discs over the years?

Let me begin:

1. Opeth - Heritage (I love this album and mix)
2. Steely Dan - Gaucho (My alltime favorite 5.1 mix)
3. Steven Wilson - Hand.Cannot.Erase (Always on heavy rotation)
4. Talking Heads - Fear Of Music (Great album and heavenly 5.1 mix)
5. Gentle Giant - The Power And The Glory (A big suprise to me, how much I love it with visuals on!)

Now it's your turn!

Have a nice rotation! :)

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (BD)
Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick (DTS)
Yes - Close to the Edge (BD)
Queen - A Night at the Opera (DVDA)
Bob Marley - Legend (BD)

In order to make sure that all titles in my collection get at least some exposure, I've printed out a list of all of my surround/hi-res stereo disc and I write down the date last played. Anyway, my 5 most played are probably:

1. Chicago Transit Authority All tracks except Free Form Guitar and Liberation
2. The Moody Blues Seventh Sojourn Tracks 2, 3, 5, 7 and 8
3. Jethro Tull Aqualung
4. Doobie Brothers The Captain And Me
5. The Beatles Love Starting from Here Comes The Sun

Of course there are a lot of titles where I play certain cuts quite frequently such as No Time and American Woman on The Best Of The Guess Who; and Freebird on Skynyrd's Southern Surroundings etc. Then I make sure that these three albums get an annual playing no matter what: Dark Side Of The Moon, Days Of Future's Past and Tommy.

Dylan - Blood on the Tracks
Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms
Elton John - Madman Across the Water
Yes - The Yes Album
Chicago - Quadio

I also find I seldom play a full album lately (there was a time when that's all I did). Having a media player with everything stored on a hard drive definitely encourages cherry picking your music selections.

Pink Floyd/DSOTM
Donald Fagen/The Nightfly
Dire Straits/Brothers in Arms
Elton John/GYBR
The Who/Tommy
BTW: ALL DVD/A

Porcupine Tree - Deadwing - DVD-A
Beck - Guero - DVD-A
America - Homecoming - SACD
David Crosby - If Only I could Remember My Name - DVD-A
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon - Blu-ray & SACD

Great thread! My list could fill this page, but here are some of my most played:

Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
Snow Patrol - Final Straw
America - Homecoming
Foo Fighters - In Your Honor
Van Morrison - Moondance
Alison Krauss & Union Station - New Favorite
Alison Krauss & Union Station - Live
Depeche Mode - Black Celebration
The Cardigans - Long Gone Before Daylight
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Steven Wilson - The Raven That Refused to Sing
Talking Heads - Brick
Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms

I could add these:

Eagles - Hotel California [SACD]
Tiësto - Elements of Life [Blu-Ray Audio]
Nightwish - Once [DVD-Audio]
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours [SACD]
Schiller - Leben [SACD]
Lichtmond - Lichtmond 3: Days of Eternity [Blu-Ray Audio]

And a lot more :)

Fro me that would be Brain Salad Surgery by ELP (the 2001 dvd-a, mind you). This is so over the top, one must love it. Never did the Rick Wakeman story fit better: 'We think the music you do is pompous, overblown, full of unbelievably fast runs...I replied yeah I know, it's good innit?'- Rick Wakeman on an interview Rick did at some point.

This might go against the norm, but I don't consistently play any single title. (even though many are so much better than others in terms of the mix) I love LOTS of music, therefore, I play lots of different titles and many times change genre's daily.
