For some strange reason I can't provide links which I never had problems heretofore providing. Maybe it's those endless installs MAC is imposing on my computer.

In any event Snood, I'm sure you can navigate AmazonUS and search yourself for Night of The Living Dead, Criterion edition due out next week.

Clint's link is for DEAD MAN which is also worth buying.......with acoustic music by Neil Young and starring Johnny Deep and featuring Iggy Pop in DRAG!:yikes

You are right Ralphie...here is the right title

Music Direct:

From a buddy: Music Direct has a sale through February 20th (code is FEB20) for 20% off certain titles.

Those titles do include pre-orders for the forthcoming Hendrix SACDs for Are You Experienced & Axis, Bold As Love (in stereo & mono) from Acoustic Sounds.

$27.99 each and shipping in August.

I have never ordered from them before, but I bit on this deal. Anyone else use them?

If you mean Music Direct...I use them a lot...all you need is $49 for free shipping...I ordered some things today...all these places are getting like Acoustic Sounds...which has so many "protected" items that they won't discount..I did order this today and saved $6...I started to shop there because Acoustic Sounds charges too much for shipping...it takes a little longer from Music Direct because they use Media Mail...but they are good to deal with...I thought I posted that sale on here...I guess not..

I too locked up the Hendrix titles at the discount(y)...I would advise anyone that uses a credit card(not paypal because they will take the funds out now)and wants these... to pre order now at the discounted price with promo code FEB20

BTW, the Music Direct 20% off sale [with promo code FEB20] ENDS TONIGHT at Midnight [NOT Feb 20th]. Hurry if you want to take advantage of this sale with free shipping @ $49.

This current sale also includes some choice, already discounted/out of print GOLD RBCDs: https://www.musicdirect.com/music?c...SC&page=1&pagesize=24&c1=tab-products&c2=grid

Thanks for that clarification. I made a bad assumption - if understandable. I wonder what their marketing strategy was intended to be there...

It's understandable...I feel bad because I forgot to post this earlier...the problem is with Music Direct and especially Elusive Disc is that there are so many sales going on at the same time.. and most of them are on vinyl...it's hard to keep them all straight...and that promo code is misleading...I hope some people took advantage of the discount on the Hendrix discs...they will be in demand...I just wonder how Acoustic Sounds will feel if they find out about this discount by Music Direct..Analogue Productions is owned by Acoustic Sounds and more and more of those SACD releases are "protected"...meaning that they aren't discounted...even long after the initial release date..and it's not just on the Acoustic Sounds website that they are not eligible for discount..I'd love Brian to chime in and explain this "price protected" relationship that Acoustic Sounds seems to have with it's vendors like Elusive Disc..

I think it's becoming more and more obvious that AP, MoFi and even AF are pulling way back on their 'boutique' SACD releases....ordering fewer and fewer copies to be pressed which really makes each and every release VERY limited editions......which justifies in their minds that premium prices be charged [thus, NOT eligible for further discounts].

Release dates for almost all of their SACD releases have NOT been met...... sometimes months and years before they're actually released which would indicate a lack of interest in the aforementioned reissue companies which specialize in VINYL not DIGITAL.

As I've also mentioned before, ImportCD and DeepDiscount and even Amazon carry VERY few Analogue Production SACDs and when they do they're usually close to or even more than LIST PRICE. Audio Fidelity has always been heavily discounted, especially over at ImportCD [almost 30% off] but their SACD releases have been steadily dwindling.

Too bad with Blu ray players prices plummeting [some can be had for as little as $50] that BD~A didn't catch on since all those discs can be pressed DOMESTICALLY compared to all SACD releases which are pressed at a premium in Austria [save for the Japanese SACDs].

Methinks eventually they will all abandon SACD altogether and concentrate solely on 180/200g VINYL pressings and that will be that!

This past Christmas, Acoustic Sounds 'blew out' almost 300 Analogue Production SACD titles for 50% off [including primo Beach Boy SACDs] but then unsweetened the pot by charging HIGH s/h charges but if you purchased enough it WAS a sweet deal.

As it turns out, the number of LPs being pressed by the reissue labels is also in the 2,000 - 3,000 range per album that we see for SACDs these days for most releases.
The bottom line is that the sales of physical media of all types continues to drop throughout the music industry.

For those interested, the RIAA's sales database is here. It tracks SACD and DVD-Audio, although SACD Hybrids are not always counted as SACDs: https://www.riaa.com/u-s-sales-database/

(and thanks for the Deepdiscount Code)

"Other Digital" seems to have made it's debut on the last bar of the graph... Blu-ray Audio, maybe? DVD-A and SACD seem to be doing rather poorly :(

And CD revenue is second only to paid subscriptions (for now)

I found the recent bump in SACD and DVD-Audio interesting, although it seems to be tailing off again.

2465 VHS Tapes, 29 HD~DVDs, 2 Laserdiscs, 1 Beta and NO porno. :yikes

This must be one of Red's friends...he lives in Canada...just saying...I wonder how long that shipment will be held up in Customs for inspection...and how about some fees...I would be so proud to see that trailer truck roll up to my "new" residence that I would have to buy just to store that many discs:couch

And THE best: "Not Eligible for further discount!"

And @ $56 PER item......a TOTAL RIP OFF!

The disc treatments alone would set me back $1M!
