Hi
I'm on the bay looking for an q8 player
I have located a hand full in my price range
However they are Lf & Rf / Lr & Rr,
Outputs no line outs.
How do they connect to my stereo aux input
Thanks

Im not sure I completely understand your question.

A Q8 player should have 4 analog outputs Left Front (LF), Right Front (RF), Left Rear (LR) and Right Rear (RR). European models may have two 5 pin DIN jacks instead of four RCA jacks.

To connect the deck to a stereo amp, just use the LF and RF inputs on the Q8 player. The player will be able to detect a Q8 tape vs a standard 8 track tape and switch modes accordingly.

If you want to play Q8 tapes on a stereo system (but why?) you will need a set of Y adapters and connect the LF/LR and the RF/RR to the left and right stereo channels.

Lastly, if the outputs on the Q8 player are DIN plugs, you will likely need DIN to RCA adapters. They are out there if you look.

Tyvm my good man yes
The deck shows me a right front / right rear & left front left rear
RCA connections,

Your advice is from the q8 player use r& L front to amplifier
Aux correct this is 4 2 channel tapes

For q8 rear channel playback how is the left an right rears
Connected?

I'am using two integrated amps in my system front an rear

OK. The Q8 player should have four RCA jacks for output. Connect the two fronts to one amp and the two rears to the other amp with RCA cables.

If there are only two RCA jacks on the player... then it isn't really a Q8 player. There is no way to get four discreet channels out of only two RCA jacks.

Hi. Sanke

If you have a Q8 player it should look something like this some will record and most will only play this unit will do both Akai CR-80DSS Q8 player.
But should look like this to connect to 2 Stereo Amps.
