Larry was a true quad pioneer with Vanguard. When collecting records if you see his name on it, i always bought it, he was one of a kind. Dropping like flies anymore.

I had a chance to see Larry perform 3/24/94 in Boulder Colorado. I enjoyed his show!

My favorite music from Larry came as an original member of the Guitar Trio with Paco DeLucia & John McLaughlin. There is a (stereo only) video of them from the UK. Here is a version of Larry and Paco playing Mediterranean Sundance:

Although only one on this list is Quad, here are the albums I think are most essential:

Eleventh House:
Introducing sounds great on SQ LP and dbx-encoded 2ch LP (decoder REQUIRED for dbx)
Level One
Aspects w/o Mouzon released in various countries on LP. I've only seen the CD from Japan. Get the CD!

Coryell solo and other aggregations:
Twin House w/Philip Catherine the German LP sound soooo good!
Impressions -Larry Coryell Organ Trio SACD
3 Guitars w/John Abercrombie & Badi Assad SACD
Traffic w/Victor Bailey & Lenny White SACD
Better Than Live w/Brubeck Brothers Direct-to-Disc
A Quiet Day in Spring w/Michal Urbaniak
Facts of Life w/Michal Urbaniak & Ursula Dudziak
Difference French import w/
- Steve Khan / guitar, track 3
- Arthur Rhames / guitar, tracks 1,5,7
- Michael Brecker / saxophone, tracks 1,3,5,7
- David Sanborn / saxophone track 3
- Don Gronlick / keyboards, track 3
- Glen Moore / acoustic bas, tracks, 1,5,7
- Will Lee / electric bass, track 3
- Steve Gaad / drums, track 3
- Tony Williams / drums, tracks 1,3,5,7

I do own all three Quads on mint SQ LP's.

3 Guitars w/John Abercrombie & Badi Assad SACD
Traffic w/Victor Bailey & Lenny White SACD

I have these two on multichannel SACD. Traffic is strictly ambience in the rears. I need to recheck 3 Guitars.

I also recommend "Together" with Emily Remler (stereo only)
