Hello fellow quad-heads... I'm excited to announce that I've a new quad album available, in addition to my previous releases of "Arcadian" (2016) and "Misery in Soliloquy" (2009).
You can find all 3 albums and quad bundle here: https://quadaudio.bandcamp.com/

The new album is a 10th anniversary release of my 2007 album "Wound Up by God or the Devil." This album is a "Classical Synthesizer" album in the spirit of composers like Vangelis, Wendy Carlos, Philip Glass, and Jean-Michel Jarre.
There are no drums or singing, just the purity of analog synthesizer music. This album was inspired by soundtracks such as Bladerunner, A Clockwork Orange, Chariots of Fire, and Koyaanisqatsi.

Like my 2 previous releases, this is also in quad surround version (4.0) & remastered 24bit hi-def stereo!
It comes as a digital download with 2 options to choose from: 4-Channel WAV or 5.1FLAC (soon I'll have a DVD ISO option for download that you can burn to a DVD-R and use in your surround playback system if you're not able to use digital audio files). Both "Misery in Soliloquy" and "Arcadian" are in 4-Chan WAV or 5.1FLAC as well as a downloadable DVD-A/V ISO for Arcadian, and Misery is available in physical DVD format but shipping internationally is quite expensive.
You will also receive a download link to the newly remastered 24bit stereo audio files as well!

The quad versions of all my albums are $15usd.
There are 2 cheaper options to get this album. Purchase a "Quad Bundle" which gets you all 3 of my quad surround albums for $33.33usd, or if you've already purchased either Misery in Soliloquy on DVD/digital or Arcadian in quad format, email me your receipt and I'll send you a discount code to purchase Wound Up for $10usd.

Thanks for all your support for previous albums and I hope to continue creating and releasing albums in surround!
You can also preview these album via Spotify if that's your thing: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0qWdr3mxtmV6cf4YtlHcMI

cheers, Kasson

I will purchase this. I like the idea of the iso file. Can a single purchase get both iso & flac?

Thanks for mixing in surround!

I hope everyone's been enjoying the various quad albums I've been releasing.
I'm working on now doing a quad mix for a friend's band that I've really loved over the years and he's graciously letting me mix his upcoming EP in quad.
I'll have more details soon on the music and release date!

Until then, for those that haven't heard any of my quad releases, head here: https://quadaudio.bandcamp.com/

Just a quick update as things have been a bit silent from me lately...

In 2 weeks I'll finally have available a new quad surround EP available from Brooklyn ambient/downtempo/electronic artist Kodomo along with an epic 27-minute-long Symbion Project remix!
Details on that will be forthcoming and the Divider EP will be available on June 30th along with my quad surround version.

And for those that dig my more ambient/soundscape music, I recently released an instrumental album that fuses traditional Japanese music with vintage analog synths.
Fans of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Brian Eno, Phillip Glass, and Jean-Michel Jarre will certainly like this album. It's possible I might release it also in quad surround... stay tuned on that front!

Gishiki:
https://symbionproject.bandcamp.com/album/gishiki

GISHIKI is the newest album which completes a trilogy of “classical synthesizer” albums started with Wound Up by God or the Devil (2007) & Contrapasso (2011).
Inspired by the 8 virtues of Bushido (code of the Samurai) and minimalist traditional Japanese music, Gishiki blends vintage synthesizers, Koto, and windchimes to create lush, cinematic soundscapes.
If the novel Neuromancer had a soundtrack, Gishiki would be it.

Wonderful news on all fronts but from the sumptuous music samples supplied for the Gishiki recordings, a surround mix would be fantastic, IMO.

There is so little ambient music released in surround in any format so a huge thumbs up for a future hi res physical disc release.

I'm also a big fan of your Symbion Project releases and look forward to your upcoming release.

Another update for those interested in the quad version of Arcadian.
I now offer an additional format to download that I hope will help me reach more people.
Arcadian is now available in .mp4 format with the quad audio as .ac3 Dolby Digital.
Each song is a movie with the surround audio stream embedded and this format can be played back via TV's that have USB to mount media, Xbox360 and Xbox1, Sony PS3/4.
I don't have Apple TV which I know supports .mp4 but am unsure if it supports audio other than .aac. Does anyone know?

Either way, I think more people (like myself) have the ability to play surround audio via this format because we dont have higher-end systems that can stream 4-ch wavs or 5.1flacs, or have their PC/Mac attached to their surround systems to playback via VLC.

If anyone's interested in getting the Arcadian album, visit here:
https://quadaudio.bandcamp.com/merc...d-dvd-a-v-iso-mp4-ac3-4-channel-wav-or-51flac

and the download format options are now:
- .MP4/.AC3 Dolby Digital
- 4-channel wavs (24/44)
- 5.1FLAC
- DVDA/V.ISO (download and burn to a DVD-r)

The upcoming quad release of Kodomo's "Divider EP" will also be available in the .mp4 format as well.

cheers

Kasson

Hey Kasson,

Thanks for continuing to mix in surround! It helps that your music is also awesome!

I have already gotten flacs of "Arcadian" but would like to get the iso file, as I like physical media. Also, is Wound Up by God or the Devil available as an ISO yet? I have my credit card all warmed up and ready to go.

Shoot me an email at [email protected] about the Arcadian .ISO and I can send you the download link.
Unfortunately I dont think there will be ISOs available for the other releases as I dont know how to create them myself and the person who graciously helped me doesnt seem to be available any longer.
That's why I'm switching over to .mp4/.ac3 files. As I'm a mac person, I've not found a DVD authoring program that will let me create DVD-A's unfortunately.

Some big updates!

1st is that I'm proud to announce the release of Kodomo's "Divider EP" which I mixed in quad surround and includes an epic 27 minute long Symbion Project remix!
This is a digital download release available in multiple format options:
_ 4-channel .wav (24/44.1KHz)
_ 5.1FLAC
_ DVD-A .ISO (burn to a DVDr for physical playback)
_ MP4/AC3 (video files containing 5.1 AC3/Dolby Digital quad audio)

This EP (along with all my other quad surround releases) can be found here: https://quadaudio.bandcamp.com/

I've known Brooklyn-based Kodomo now for many years and we've both remixed each other's songs over the years.
His new Divider EP is really amazing and if you're into a mix of ambient, techno, experimental electronic music, then you'll definitely like his music!
You can preview/stream/purchase the stereo version of the EP here:
https://kodomo.bandcamp.com/album/divider-ep

Additionally, the surround release of "Wound Up by God or the Devil" is now available as a DVD-A .ISO and "Arcadian" now has the option of MP4/AC3!
Huge thanks of appreciation to DuncanS (https://www.quadraphonicquad.com/forums/member.php?7321-DuncanS) for the help on creating the DVD-A .ISO files.

Ok, now on to figure out what my next quad release will be!

to the stars...

Its a really discrete mix, and Kasson's quote that its a "mix of ambient, techno, experimental electronic music" is spot on, the 'experimental' segments reminded me of really early Tangerine Dream
