One of my favourite Soul vocal groups, Four Tops, and this superb track from a very much underrated album. I can't stop playing the LP but this is this morning's earworm.

There have been a few things in my haid. Coincidentally, one is a Tear for Fear record. Curt is nowhere in sight: Raul and the Kings of Spain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0ebeVF6UMQ

Herbie Hancock - Watermelon Man Ever since I saw this on an awards show with the original and Head Hunters versions fused together, I can't get it out of my haid. Here's HH live w/Miles doing WM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_Fp_0oj5aQ

Casinos - Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1CMDBbylS4

Gordon Lightfoot - Endless Wire: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AK850NCdt-o&list=PLtTZdbeMSC9uCBQO1jfW1W4rdtByffR5K&spfreload=10

Curt and Roland split up at the end of The Seeds Of Love tour. Roland then chose Alan Griffiths as his partner in sound. Griffiths was the second half of Tears For Fear in every aspects except visually. He was never featured on album covers or promotional material. Together they produced Elemental and Raoul and The Kings of Spain along with enough b-sides and stray tracks for another album's worth. As much as I love the early Tears For Fears material (I also love their Pre-TFF Graduate LP), the material that Roland and Alan released as Tears For Fears is the one that I often return to and I'm most fond of.

I not only invite everyone to listen to these two albums but also the following b-sides:

War Of Attrition
Queen Of Compromise
Lord of Karma
Bloodletting Go
Schrodinger's Cat (Roland in his I'm The Walrus mode)

My favourite has to be this one from the Kings of Spain sessions:

I was extremely fortunate to catch that version of Tears For Fears twice in concert for the Elemental and Raoul and The Kings of Spain tours and they are amongst the best concerts I've seen. The multi-talented Gain Ann Dorsey played bass and sang on the Elemental tour and Kings of Spain album. The live version the she and Roland did together of Woman in Chains was breathtaking. She then went on to work with David Bowie on several albums and tours. If you own Bowie's BBC Radio Theatre, London, June 27, 2000 CD, you can hear Gail Ann's beautiful voice and stunning bass playing in full force.

I could go on for hours about these albums and the gifted people who have created them. :)

Thanks for the history about RATKOS (edit: one of the most underrated TFF albums, whichm BTW he did the presentation of the album in a castle in the province of Madrid , Spain) and the recommended b-sides: will definitely try and find them....

..I'm a huge fan of Gail-Ann..man, I'm just salivating thinking about that show you saw...I'm sure that Oletta would've been proud of her-and on top of that, she's a KILLER Bassist...and , yes , that 2000 Bowie BBC show is MY favorite Bowie show EVER...funny bout that...

For me, it's all about the Alan Parsons Project right now, especially this amazing and super catchy hit of theirs from 1984 (with a killer video to boot!) :)

This sort of thread is why I love this forum. Once we catch wind of a possible release in multi-channel....it's like wildfire. I love it. We need a few more of these threads popping up. (y)

"Don't Answer Me" was on the follow-up album to "Eye in the Sky", titled "Ammonia Avenue", featuring an amazing title track and "Prime Time", another great hit single for the Project.

:)

Positively Fourth Street by Bob Dylan except with me I make up new lyrics to his somewhat repetitive tune. Same with Werwolf in London, Tom's Diner and Edmund Fitzgerald. Great creativity songs. [emoji445]

Don't get me started. Hall/Oates - Kiss on my List.....I tend to sing......

(Because your piss) your piss is on my wrist
(Because your piss) your piss is on my wrist
Because your piss is on my list of the best things in life
(Because your piss) your piss is on my wrist
(Because your piss) your piss I can't resist
(Because your piss) is what I miss when I turn on the lights

It has been Rhinestone Cowboy for the last few days. I am a retired electrician and that was my theme song. RIP Glen.

Knowing Me, Knowing You....too funny. I just took my girl to Pittsburgh this weekend to visit daughter #2, and for her bday I surprised her with Mamma Mia tix...She's a huge Abba fan, since we are both half Swedes....I found myself tapping my toes. There's no shame! ?

For some unknown reason it has been The Ides Of March - Vehicle. Has it been used in a commercial lately? I don't even own anything by them or on a compilation. Asked several people at work and they all knew the song. We could not figure out who did it until someone came in who knew the song title. The guesses as to who was the artist ranged from BS&T, Chicago to Chase. I wish it was in surround because it has been in my head for 2 days.

ABBA IS DANGEROUS STUFF!!!!! (Gene also had Knowing me, Knowing you in his head)

All of their records/CDs should come with a WARNING!!!!!

Eagle is one of my recurrent earworms...
