Sigh, we lose yet another great musician, I will play Metal Fatigue.

WTF??

I've seen him several times, including the Metal Fatigue Tour at the Roxy with Chad Wackerman on drums.
A living legend is now a Legend in the Halls of History. Shitty way to start the day.

Guys like this set the bar so high for nobodies like me to practice and practice my guitar.

I just told my youngest brother, he was shocked, Allan Holdsworth was one of his musical heroes. He has left us some great music to listen to.

yes very sad, saw him back in the 70's with jean luc- ponty, he was phenominal

WOW, HOLY SH*T!!! Didn't know he played live with Jean-Luc!!!
Was it the "Enigmatic Ocean" one????
DANG!!!!

Saw him in 87 and he was having a beer by himself after the gig and talked shop for a while...LOVELY GUY!!!!!

Rest in peace...

I was first exposed to Allan Holdsworth on the 'Bruford - Master Strokes: 1978–1985' best of collection when I was about 16 or 17. Loved his fluid playing style and muted treble tone that almost gave his guitar a horn-like sound. Also had 'Sand' and 'U.K.' on CD way back in the day too. Such a unique guitarist.
