Here we have an amazing artist, who continues to blow away audiences with his enthusiasm and love for his music. To me, he is HUGELY underrated.....how cool it would be to get a Quaddio of Creedence....

Anyway - Happy Birthday today. 72 years young! :):)

Another Fantastic Gemini artist (along with Paul McCartney... and hopefully some day my son;))... Happy Birthday! Anybody who hasn't heard his album "Revival" from 2007, you NEED it if you enjoy his Creedence stuff!

Great artist, songwriting genius, and this man IS Creedence Clearwater Revival. The other three were backstabbers and really messed this guy up.

And he does a great show even to this day. How he does it is beyond me. At that age he's got to be in amazing physical shape.

Thanks for posting this Gene, wow, didn't know he is 72 today.
One of the classic rock voices and he wrote some of the classic songs of all time, such good memories hearing CCR songs when I was a teenager in the summertime.
Will be spinning some of their tunes today :)

p.s.

Thanks to those from here who gave me good feedback to hunt down Premonitions Dvd(Elliot Scheiner mix).

Happy Birthday!

Saw/Heard him on the Blue Moon Swamp tour. Absolutely stunning!

Best versions I've owned are the Analogue Productions SACD's. I've owned most of them on 1/2 speed LP's, too.

I've owned Creedence Gold on CD-4 since the mid-70's when it was released. The mix never really turned me on. It's also missing some of their greatest songs, although they're all good.

Also, be sure to check out Fogerty's cover of the Rockin' Sidney tune, "(Don't Mess With) My Toot Toot" w/Rockin' Sidney, which was a single B side and a bonus track on the expanded Centerfield CD. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ipI2qnUGuQ&spfreload=10

Before you leave, here is Fogerty & Louisiana Cajun Band's cover of the Doug Kershaw chestnut, "Diggy, Liiggy Lo" aka Diggy Diggy Lo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgmEaTbnCr0&spfreload=10

Do the AF SACD have good fidelity? How about the bass on them? MIA, or pretty decent? Thanks Linda!

The Analogue Productions (not Audio Fidelity) SACDs and DSD Downloads of the 7 Creedence Clearwater Revival albums are excellent.
As good as you will hear them. They should be a part of any CCR fan's music library.

The good news is that 5 of the 7 CCR SACDs are available/in stock at Acoustic Sounds ($30).
Along with all 7 albums available as Stereo DSDs ($24.98).
