Hi
So, I wanted to incorporate quadraphonic into my
Stage, using front & rear output amps, to power
All channels, the deciders that I'd like slow comming
I just a pioneer qx in action, and thought to inquire
If a quad receiver could be used solely for its deciding
As a 2010 or qs1 may.
I thought I stumbled on a retort where a Wexford 7001
Could have been used that way
True or untrue
any quad receiver out can output quad from the loops vs
Sound stage output.

A lot of quad receivers will not pass a decoded matrix signal through the line outputs. Manufacturers (logically) assumed that users would simply record the undecoded source in stereo to a 2-channel tape deck, then decode the matrixed tape when they played it back. Some models did though, so it really depends on the manufacturer. A stand-alone decoder is better for what you want to do. If you can find a Sansui QSD-2, it has both QS and SQ decoders, as well as an excellent quad synth setting. I use mine a lot, probably more than my Tate.

Fun, in landed onto a conversation where u user tracked down
And finagled a sansui quad 7001
It's not produced w/ pre out or ore in however a suggestion
Arose from a long time audiophile member interjecting
If they ( the pre in and out ) were added to the stock receiver
It may introduce play through... from the added sources
In its oem glory the sansui qrx7001 will only decode in quad
From the speaker terminal... little back story,

I was simply exercising my options. And currently iam unaware
Of models Thad allow quad from any loops although iam now aware of
Their existence...

I guess I'd need a assembly where quad was available from the rca loop. Factory or
Which has sets of pre in out.

Any recommendations out there

I find it difficult to understand what you are saying or asking.

Sorry,
I have read that speaker to line level
Outputs may also be a quick fix

But can you recommend a receiver which allows
Pass through at line level.

I can't pull out a list from memory, but there aren't many. That's why I suggested a stand-alone decoder ... which would give better decoding performance anyway.

Great I will continue to ask an search for a receiver
Which allows line level play through
With the addition of a pre am section
Would the receiver output line level decoded
Matrix in the main formats.

There were some quad pre-amps as I recall that had decoder options, but they were rare and expensive.

One I recall was the Bose 4401 PreAmp. It had "optional" SQ and CD-4 modules. Good luck finding one, and one with those modules.

I seem to remember something like this from Phase Linear as well. (Phase Linear 4000 Quad Preamp)
