Has anyone ran a dual quad set up?
I have a Marantz 4270 and wondering if it would be ok to run
4 8ohm speakers on Main (1 set front/1 set rear) + 4 8 ohm speakers on remote
( same set up as main) at the same time? in 4x25 of course.

Smokey, based on info I gleaned from the internet, it says that your receiver can handle speakers with impedances down to 4 ohms. However, these vintage units are not like today's high current power amps so you might have problems meeting the current draw of eight speakers, especially with only 25 wpc. Then it could be lights out for the amps. Tread carefully.
