My Marantz 4230 with a SQA-2b decoder is making no sound in the right front when i SQ-mode. All the other modes are working fine in all speakers. I guess that makes it pretty safe to assume that the problem lies in the decoder?
Are these things possible to repair? I have got a very good repair-guy for vintage electronics and he rescued the amplifier itself when the preamp went out on one channel, but he is no Quad-guy....few people in Sweden are.
The thing is he is somewhat expensive and even if he cant repair it or if i decide not to depending on the end price, he still charges me for the troubleshooting and that money could be a start to another decoder on Ebay instead.....
So i turn to you people to hear about your experiences and thoughts on this matter!
