Producer's Note from Lyn Stanley
Lyn has graciously agreed to give us a Producer's Note for the NativeDSD Music Blog. She greets our listeners and says in part:

"Hello and welcome to 2018 and my DSD Downloads at NativeDSD! I am excited to bring you my top quality collection audiophile reference recordings created at the best studios in the world! We do our best for you! Thank you for your support! Enjoy the music!"

(Read Lyn's full blog post at the NativeDSD Blog using the link listed below).

The Band
Both albums in DSD feature Lyn’s classic song stylings performed with a band that features an all-star line up of LA’s top studio musicians including pianists Mike Garson (David Bowie), Christian Jacob (Tierney Sutton Band) and Tamir Hendelman (Barbra Streisand, The Jeff Hamilton Trio). Acoustic bass player for this project is Chuck Berghofer (The Wrecking Crew, Frank Sinatra), and drummers Joe LaBarbera (Bill Evans), Ray Brinker (Tierney Sutton Band), and Bernie Dresel (The BBB, and last drum playing scene of movie Whiplash). Guitar work by John Chiodini (Peggy Lee) and Percussion by Luis Conte (James Taylor, Phil Colins). Volume 2 of the Moonlight Sessions also features 30 string players from the Budapest Scoring Symphonic Orchestra. Wow!

Moonlight Sessions DSD and Mastering Information
There are also a host of stars on the recording, mastering and DSD side of these albums. This team includes recording engineers Steve Genewick and Al Schmitt (Diana Krall, George Benson, Steely Dan, Henry Mancini, Quincy Jones, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand) and mastering engineer Bernie Grundman who also created the DSD 64 editions of both albums.

Next we have recording and mastering engineer Michael Bishop of Five/Four Productions who mixed the first Volume of Moonlight Sessions and debuts his DSD 128 and DSD 256 editions of Moonlight Sessions created with the Playback Designs Pinot Analog to DSD Converter at NativeDSD.

Volume 2 of Moonlight Sessions features a DSD 128 edition created by Gus Skinas at the Super Audio Center and a DSD 256 edition created by Tom Caulfield at the NativeDSD Mastering Lab.

Our Recommendation
We recommend buying the DSD 256 editions of both of Lyn's Moonlight Sessions albums so you can download all 3 DSD bit rates (DSD 64, DSD 128 and DSD 256) of each album and experience the work of the artists and recording professionals at the top of their game that Lyn Stanley has assembled for this amazing project.
