Tri as in Triphonic (Left, Right, Back)
I'm still trying to find a way to get Master Audio Recordings
done in (some form) of Surround Sound.
Tri would be (discrete) DynaQuad, if fact, DynaQuad encoding
could be used for the Stereo (enhanced/encoded) version of Tri.
One advantage: could be decoded with Dolby Pro-Logic II Music.
One disadvantage: sound in the Back channel would be lost
in Mono.
