Over 800 SACDs Shown In Latest U.S. Catalog

In the newly released U.S. SACD Catalog, over 800 SACDs that are available or soon to be available are shown.

Of interest is the continuing trend of most of the upcoming SACD releases being Multichannel/Stereo rather than Stereo only SACDs. The catalog also includes the upcoming SACDs by Bob Dylan and Sam Cooke.

Perhaps we should also post how many of these are surround since this primarily a surround forum.

Of the 800 SACD's currently available about 288 appear to be surround.

On a worldwide basis, there are about 400 Multichannel SACDs.

I just went by what was posted on your site. I guess these are just the North American Titles?

You've got it. The list of almost 300 SACDs are the ones available in the U.S. market.

If you scroll to the bottom of that page, you will see links to the list of Available and Upcoming Multichannel SACDs in Europe, Japan and Hong Kong.

If you add the number of SACDs on those 3 lists to the U.S. list, you'll see that the worldwide total approaches 400 overall.

As one who remembers the days of only a handful of Multichannel SACDs, you've gotta love the ever increasing number of Multichannel SACDs that are appearing each week !
