PentaTone Classics in the Netherlands has announced plans to release 26 more Hybrid Layer Multichannel SACDs during the balance of the year.

Check the story on High Fidelity Review at www.highfidelityreview.co...r=16216534 for a complete list of the planned Multichannel SACDs.

They have some great stuff coming up.

Do you know whether the new recordings will be original DSD recordings?
I don't think I saw anything to that effect in the HighFidelityReview article or on Pentatone's website.

I saw that for older RQR albums the original masters from Polyhymnia would be transfered directly to DSD, but I didn't see anything about the new recordings.

The RQR Multichannel SACDs would be from the Surround Analog Masters done by Philips Classics.

The new recordings that PentaTone Classics does are DSD originals.

As you said, should be some nice material there. They have made some selections that have yet to appear on SACD. I think Classical Fans will be looking forward to these.
