Has anyone on this board heard this release? I have the original cd release. Just wondering how the SACD compares.

I haven't owned prior versions, so I can't compare the Multichannel SACD to them.
The SACD is from a 4 Channel Quad Master tape. Sounds good to me for an album from the '70s. Recommended.

It is a an outstanding multichannel SACD. Its virtue in contrast to the redbook CD is primarily in its fidelity, although the redbook CD was very good.
Be careful, however, as this was one of those SACDs (like Carole King's Tapestry--also outstanding) that first was released in two channel, then multichannel. I assure you from experience that some online vendors do not know the difference, even when they claim it's multichannel.

The Multichannel SACD of Blow by Blow has a different catalog number (ES 85440) than the Stereo SACD.
That might help getting the newer Multichannel version.
