So this is a surround release, but with no mixing credits. It turns out to be an ambience mix - I have no idea if it's genuine ambience from the recording, post production theatre ambience, or digital reverb, etc. I'm a bit surprised to find I like the feel of it - quite a lot, despite hoping for a less conventional, more discrete presentation. There may be some kind of disc fault though, I was listening to the rear channels using an old player that was connected via analogue and a track just skipped onto the next one when it was only a third of the way through. Fine on another player using HDMI though...
EDIT: It's an upmix, using AMSI II (this was printed next to the DSD symbol on the back) - what a cheek!
