ah yeah.. i remember that, the discs cracking at the hub thing!

jewel cases getting cracked in transit is a bind but replacements can be picked up for peanuts so i suppose all is not lost

Sadly that also occured with one of my American Gramaphone DVDA'S . Looks Like broken teeth , but the good news is that it does work.

Too bad DV can't put a slug or empty cd case in a package of odd number discs. Can't increase the weight too much.
Good idea!(y)
That's what Groove.land, a European DV supplier, does on odd numbered disc orders. On larger ones still, they use an actual box. [As on a recent 15 title DV order I placed with them.]
DV has gotten better though, with the use of the bubble wrap layer under the corrugated cardboard sealed package..

How was your experience with Grooves.land, Imbrobman?

Overall, great! Their prices are cheaper but seem to fluctuate a lot. I'LL put stuff in my cart there & leave it. Then when I come back, often times the price has changed.
Free shipping on orders above a certain amount spent. If I recall, the amount was very small..(.. shipping by registered mail that must be signed for).
I also save by using my CC instead of pay pal. Last time it was approx $8 cheaper. (Though you still can use PayPal if you wish).
I must pre-notify my financial institution before making this CC direct purchase or it's blocked. ( fraud & all..)
Grooves is slower than DV direct on order time, etc. & their search results abit convoluted...they usually show an image of the DV titles but discriptions/text are sort of minimal...
But the good news... they use a box on most orders..I never had a cracked case!

Is anyone else still waiting for a December shipment? I actually had placed two orders, one on Dec. 17 and one on Dec. 19. I received the Dec. 19 shipment really late (after my January order), a week or two ago. But still no sign of the Dec. 17 order. Realizing how incredibly delayed these were, I don't want to bother them, but if I'm the last one, maybe it is time.

I just got my Dec 19 order 6 days ago.

Still waiting for 2 separate Dec orders.

All this sad news tells me that my recent change to selecting Priority with tracking is worth the extra money. The last shipment of six SACDs took 5 days from the time I placed the order to arrival in my mailbox. And I knew where the shipment was every step of the way. I will just wait until I have enough SACDs in the order to justify the extra cost. (But being cognizant of the "Buy now or repent later" factor.)

You received your shipment to 'Joisey' before I did [New Yawk] and I also selected priority shipping [but No tracking]. Hmmmm.

Priority without tracking 8 days to Southern Cali-pornia (because John Holmes entered our discussion the other day)

My original 12/17 order arrived yesterday. Amazing. Anyone who reordered, be prepared to get your original order too. Something wacky happened.
I’m thinking that perhaps a bunch of stuff got backed up during the postal Christmas rush. Then newer stuff got precedence while these deliveries languished somewhere until they finally got around to dealing with them. I’m going to stick with priority from now on.
